Mat Pilates built around what padel actually asks of you — overhead shoulders, constant rotation, hips that lunge and stop. Taught step by step by a Level 4 certified instructor, at home, with no equipment.

Sound familiar?

The bits padel
finds first.

The shoulder, the morning after

A couple of hours of smashes and you feel it reaching for a seatbelt the next day. Overhead is the position most of us have the least control in, and padel asks for it again and again in a single match.

An elbow that has started talking

The grip, the wrist, the forearm that aches on the drive home. It rarely arrives from one bad shot — it builds over a season of gripping hard because everything above it is doing less than its share.

A back that stiffens by Monday

You twist, lunge and stop dead a few hundred times a match, then sit at a desk for the rest of the week. The tightness turns up two days later, and warming up for ninety seconds beforehand was never going to cover it.

What to expect

What a session
actually involves.

Two studio classes a week — 35 to 40 minutes of mat work aimed squarely at what the sport asks of you. Controlled rotation through the middle of your back rather than the bottom of it, shoulders that can go overhead without shrugging, and hips strong enough to lunge and stop under control.

Then, each week, a pair of five-minute court routines: one to do before you play — in the car park, in the changing room, on court before your partner arrives — and one for straight after, so the match doesn't follow you into Monday.

Caroline talks through every movement as it happens: where to begin from, what to keep still, how to breathe, and how far to take it. Where a movement has a smaller version, she shows that too, so there is always something to do instead of sitting one out.

Built around the sport

Every exercise comes with the court connection — why it matters for the smash, the split step, the wide ball — so you know what you are training and what it protects.

Cued in detail

Caroline explains the set-up and the movement itself, so you always know what you are meant to be doing rather than copying a shape on screen.

The 5-minute court ritual

Short pre-play and post-play routines you can do in your kit, no mat needed — designed to become the habit you keep long after the four weeks.

From Caroline

"The change I notice most isn't in the exercises — it's the moment somebody stops feeling wary of moving. When you understand what you're being asked to do and why, you stop bracing against it. That's usually when it starts to feel like yours."

How Caroline teaches

New programme.
Not a new teacher.

Pilates for Racket Sports is new, so these aren’t padel players — they are students who have trained with Caroline in the studio. The programme is new; the teaching behind it is not.
